The campaign styled 'Nana-Natir (Grandfather and grandson's) Gambhira Show' took its slogan as 'Through love, help your sons and daughters to choose the right path'.
Based on the theme, shows of Gambhira were held at all the nine upazilas of Rajshahi between May 22 and 27. The shows are scheduled to be held at 32 venues of 26 upazilas of Rajshahi, Chapai-nawabganj, Natore and Pabna districts.
Bangladesh Centre for Communications Programmes is implemen-ting the campaign with assistance of Proyas Folk Theater Institute, an association of Proyas Manabik Unnayan Society, a Chapainabganj based NGO.
M Hasib Hossain, executive director of Proyas said, we noticed that social and family bonds are gradually getting loose due to different social and economical realities and that is why, crimes are increasing and children are going to astray.
“So the breach in family relation must be mended up for better families and happier societies”, he said.
Through the Gambira Shows we are trying portray the message for family members in societies to stay united through funs and frolicking, he added.
The organisers explained that they focused on fathers, as it was observed that they are the dominant figure in the family. If fathers take a little interest away from their jobs and dedicate some of it to their families, the distance would come down radically. Related Articles :
